Biscuitville...the experience

So, this morning I had an unusual want for pancakes. I'm not a big pancake fan, but when I crave I want them...now. Lol. I decide to feed my craving at biscuitville, via the drive-thru window. I should have really thought it out I guess...but I didn't. So I got the pancake platter...two eggs & a choice of meat. GREAT! Should keep me full throughout lunchtime with that massive amount of food. So I order and I also ordered a medium diet pepsi, hello it's 7 in the morning I need caffeine. I pulled up to the box and CLEARLY said my order, and the lady CLEARLY repeated it back to me. Wonderful, I think YAY pancakes. So I ask for an extra syrup after I paid and pulled to the next window, because they are syrup Nazis (using it in the same context as Seinfeld's Soup Nazi btw) as I am pulling away, I realize...Where the hell is my drink? So I have to park (already running late to work mind you) and go inside and tell the manager that I didn't get my drink, he apologized like he should...and gave me it. And I finally arrived at work...10 minutes late, but who's counting? They can bite my ass, I wanted pancakes! So as I'm laying down my belongings in my cube, and laying out my "feast", I noticed...my eggs...were in a cup, like the grits cup, only not even filled to the line. So now they are Egg Nazis too apparently. I brush it off and blame it on me being fat and them really just trying to help my cholesterol even though it's perfect...thanks to my latest blood tests about a month ago, and continue to unpack my food. So...I got ONE syrup...the ONE syrup I asked for extra!!! Bastards! How can you eat three pancakes with ONE syrup that's less than an ounce?! Outraged, I considered my options: 1. Clock back out and go back and scream at them. 2. Call and tell them how moronic the girl at the window was. OR 3. Sit down, shut up and chalk it up to experience. I was hungry so I said screw it and started the process of stretching my less than an oz. syrup on my three gigantic pancakes. Finally am I able to eat, but as I go to take a bite of my pc (tired of writing pancake) my freaking fork breaks. I should have gotten a freaking biscuit.

Join me in my fight against stupidity!

Yes...I photo shopped a random pic to make this sign... Sue me.

Much Love,

The Recap

So I had a fairly event free weekend. We (finally) bought a new*er* stove that works wonderfully! It took me all day Saturday to clean it; but it was well worth it, it really looks brand new.
Tara and I both got our costumes, I still need a few things for mine, but hers is going to blow people out of the park and I believe she still has to find a wig. You guys will never expect it. Mine isn't something outlandish...but hey...it's purple! Renaissance styled* dresses are spectacular btw. Although I think they were trying to do a remake of a Toledo Gown (
http://www.funfolly.com/h/c/c3406.htm) just didn't really work well for them, then again it is a cheap costume.
Dana and Cindy hung out with us a good part of the weekend, I missed them. And I was also informed it's my house that makes everyone sleepy, not Oreo (the cat...not the cookie).

Nothing really to bitch about, it was a very relaxed weekend. Eventually, T will have to get into the attic to find all of our Halloween decorations so we can go through them and figure out what we need for the party. Might do that Tuesday seeing as I have half of a day and I refuse to go to class, regardless of the fact the chapter is about claims...what I need really. What's even better is my half days are at 11am. ;-) Got to love it. Alright off I go to get stuff done I couldn't finish Friday!

Happy Monday!

Not the point it's almost the weekend...again.

This past weekend was quite eventful...

Saturday:

Went to the carousel festival with T and had the BEST Irish Oat Bread...ever! And of course my dirty secret obsession...the Carousel! Here are a two outtakes from the festival:

And yes that is a real parrot on the magician's shoulder, he was neat and even had a peg leg :-D

So, then about 5:30ish Dan and Mim came over for our first "real" cookout/puppy playdate. Drinking margaritas until sundown and then went inside to play the Wii...carnival game style. I LOVE that game!

Sunday:

Sunday was my dad's birthday and I had called him while Dan and Mim were over Saturday night, because I had (also known as: was in the process of making) made him a CD of songs he 'used' to like, I say used to because I'm not really sure what he likes now...this is from what I remember as a kid and what my mom could remember, and he then let me know that apparently there was going to be a birthday party in his honor at a local seafood restaurant. Thanks for letting me know ahead of time...mind you this is at 8 o'clock at night, the party was at 2pm the following evening. Ok fastforward back to Sunday. I get to the restaurant late because T's program on the laptop was being crappy and wouldn't rip the music AND because I got cut off by a man well into his 100's and shouldn't still have a driver license and went...15, I'm not kidding, 15mph down church street! OH I forgot, this is my dad:

So I finally get there and I'm not even hungry at this point, and his wife...did not come. I sat there quietly the entire meal. And I told Dad my dilemma with what I had made him and that I would give it to him sometime during the week.

So I leave his party and go with Tara BACK to the festival to see if we could find more of the Oat Bread. As we walk in, I run into a Teri...who I recently have reconnected with, then suddenly Sly aka Chris shows up behind us, getting creepy for me so I make a hasty exit towards the food stands. Guess what...NO oat bread :-( The little Irish guy wasn't there. So as we are turning to leave, I see green hair. Not just any green hair, green hair that belonged to the Joker...who was also known as Greg. At this point, I'm seriously confused so I tell (notice I didn't say asked) Tara we are going to walk past to see if that's really him. Creepy...very creepy. I hate clowns and I hate the mere existence of clowns...and now...a friend of mine is dressed as the most evil psychopath clown known. Wonderful. So after I do a heel turn and begin to dial the phone, Tara says "I want to take a picture", I kept my back turned to keep from freaking and she went to take a picture of him and wonder woman. It took every ounce of restraint not to run screaming, as we were walking away from him another friend from high school stopped me with her son. I felt like I was at a reunion, lol. And I believe I made a mistake when I played with her son...because I believe it was that fateful moment I came into contact with whatever bug I had later on Sunday night into Monday.

We left and came home and Jana came over and we decided to do Tara's hair...oh this is some wonderful blackmail photos btw.

And then I got sick, which sucked. Ok..now I'm caught up.

Time to work...or at least pretend to ;-)

Much Love,
Kim

Gurr!!

Ok, so, I know I promised to write about the weekend today...but other events have happened.

This morning, I go to start my car to let it warm up because it's cold outside (yay!!) and nothing happens...I mean not even the faint clicking noise of the battery dying. So after mumbling quite a few choice words I walk my happy (yeah right) cold butt back inside the house and scream for Tara to wake up. After trying many unsuccessful times to jump off my car, I call my boss and freak out...how the hell am I supposed to afford to get a battery right now? There's no way. I barely live on what I make now and T and I share a lot of each others financial problems when they may arise...however she doesn't get paid until...FRIDAY! So, I try calling my mom and step-dad multiple times, to no avail. And then at this point I start crying...not just a cry, but a bawl. If this week gets any worse, I'm going to seriously lose it. Between being sick, my Dad hurting my feelings yesterday (I'm not going into this, I really am washing my hands of it) and now THIS!! I can't take this anymore! *sighs* So anyway back to the story: So about 7ish I finally got in touch with my mom, and she tells me I can borrow it and blah blah blah, so right before we go to meet her at her house, Tara and I decide to try to start my car...one more time, ya know, for good luck and all. And then my neighbor, Dale, comes out. And we're about to have a 'Here's your sign' moment, and I see it coming. 'Got car trouble', said looking at my hood perched up as well as Tara's car hood up, 'uh, yes.' was my reply...though, as anyone who knows me probably knows other replies were going through my devious little brain. He reattaches the jumper cables and stands there pondering the cars...as if we do not know how to put the clips in the right areas or something, and suddenly he says to me 'let me start your car' so by all means please make a fool of me, I'd rather be a fool at this point than without a car. And the freaking car cranks, I shit you not, cranks...the FIRST FREAKING TIME. So I say my 'heartfelt' thank yous. And so, I get my mom's card, go to Advanced Auto and get my battery.

and may I just say "What a hell of a morning".

So tomorrow, I promise I will write about the past weekend...hell maybe tonight with the way my day is going. Lol.

Much Love,
Kim

Another day...and still feel like crap

So...yeah I'm still feeling crappy. I am at work today because, I don't want to use all my sick time over this bug. Tomorrow I will write about this past weekend (Cook-out, Carousel Festival & my Dad's Birthday). But today, I have about 152 emails to answer and a lot of make up work to do. So, I have to get going...did I mention I have class today too? *sighs* someone save me.

:-(

Being sick sucks

So...here I am sitting at home...sick. I have nothing to do but to study...because I can't go to work, apparently I have a virus. La de da. *sighs* I'd rather be at work. :-(

Going back a wee bit...

Ok, so this blog is dedicated to a couple of weekends ago. I had two closes friends of mine get married and I figured...I should probably write about that, Lol.

So first up Jana's Wedding:

Jana, bless her heart, had been put through the ringer trying to get this wedding to happen. The groom's parents were being a-holes and I honestly think if the preacher had given the chance for someone to object they would have. She was beautiful, and her daughter was beautiful and everything was (ugh) beautiful, hehe. I guess the defining moment was when her daughter sang, I would have been fine had she not, hush Tara. I seriously bawled, it was ludicrous! I have never cried so hard at a flipping wedding!! Anyway, It was wonderful and the colors she had chosen were gorgeous. Here's a snapshot from that day:

She and my room mate Tara are best friends, they met in paramedic school.

So we leave Jana's wedding, completely pooped because the night before was (for me) Mim's Bachelorette Party and (for Tara) Dan's Bachelor Party.

And no, I am not linking any other pictures to that, go to my myspace to see 'em there are too many.

So now Sunday arrives, and it's Dan and Mim's Wedding. And we picked up Ozzy on Saturday after Jana's Wedding, poor little guy. So we watch everyone walk in and the music starts and Mim and her dad start to walk down.
Seen Here: (and sorry I didn't have my flash on so it's a horrible picture)

And all of a sudden I hear this giggle/hysterical laugh coming out of Mim, now to the untrained ear it may have sounded like a normal giggle of happiness for her big day...this, however, sounded like a "I'm about to kill someone" giggle. Which obviously alarmed me, and all of her friends, lol. So, as she approaches Dan you hear a "Hi Honey!" Lol, it was too cute...so the ceremony goes on and now they are married and blah blah blah mushy mushy mush blah blah. And here they are married :-) And once again the flash thing wasn't happening, so they look orange lol.

Her dress was adorable!!
So we're waiting for their pictures to be made, and I got bored and started taking pictures of random people...like this one I made Tara take of me and Sly aka Chris.

Couldn't take his damn sunglasses off for one picture?!

The reception was hilarious, it really was. Dan made us wear our World of Warcraft (because we're dorks) t-shirts (btw For the Horde!)

and this started a debate as to which was better Horde or Alliance...obviously the Horde is.
:-D So it was getting late and they had to make a fake exit so we could blow our bubbles and be happy and we could get to the after party.

Mim looks like she's trying to eat the bubbles in this picture, Lol.
Luckily no one took pictures at the after party :-)
And I'm tired again from just reliving it here. Whew.

Well back to work I go. :-) Have a great day!

How much do I hate class? Let me count the ways...

So, I'm taking classes in order to receive my claims adjuster license. (La de freaking da, right?) BUT before I can take the actual class and challenge the test for my 'license', I have to complete an intro class and challenge THAT test first. Great, should be a breeze...and technically it is a breeze, I suppose, the exception being my 'teacher' (who really is just a high ranking underwriter, that works for my company, and has nothing better to do apparently on his lunch break) the guy seriously reminds me of Ben Stein. I swear one day in class he is going to reach into his pocket protector (no, I'm not kidding) and take out a bottle of Clear Eyes. His voice makes me cringe and it really is quite disgusting the way he stares at my chest all of class(ugh). He's like 90 years old for crying out loud! Going back to what I was saying, this guy really needs some spunk. He drones on and on and on about things completely irrelevant to the chapter we are studying at the time. Did I mention today is only the third class, and I'm already feeling like this? Pathetic isn't it?

Moving on from that 'bleh' subject, which I'm sure I will elaborate on more tomorrow.

Yesterday was the Puppy Play date Day!

Ozzy (this was taken in July btw)

Woody

And Hailey (along side Tara..yes she's the one in the tshirt)

Played all afternoon and evening and wore their cute little butts out. Ozzy, being my friend Mim's pup, stays with us while they are out of town, so my roommate's dogs love her and Ozzy (and yes Dan too).

(This would be Mim and Me)

They had so much fun! It really was very cute, and gave the 'mommies' a chance to hang out and have a social life, very rare nowadays. Hehe. And we had dinner and all that good stuff. I wish I would have thought of taking my camera outside to catch the candid moments of Ozzy running the poor dogs ragged. But, alas, I did not. That's ok, there will be more playdates and I will eventually remember to do it.
Well off to class I go, *sigh* wish me luck staying awake!
Much Love,
Kim

Here we are...

another blog spot...like I really need one. Haha.

So I guess we should do the introducing part of this real quickly so everyone has a background and whatever blogs will come in the future.

This is my room mate Tara (and me at our friend's wedding a couple weeks ago)

She drives me insane and I still swear she was put on this Earth to do so. :-)

This is Mom (and you can all call her that...she's used to it) and my step-dad John.

More than likely my stories will revolve around something to do with these two (well really three) key players, but if a new player occurs I will include a pic of them too.

So I guess that's it for now...get out of here...go!

Have a great day!
